Bluecastle.us ran out of server space so in a fight to get things manageable the gallery was gutted. I.E. I took the pictures away. That brought us back down below the limit so I could manage e-mail, but the space was still tight. So I decided to go look at what Google had to offer for domain services. I had heard rumors of an e-mail service based off of thier Gmail service.

Sure enough, Google has a Google Apps for your Domain service and it’s free! Google Apps have four applications. Gmail, Google Talk, Google Calendar, and a Google page creator. Having had a Gmail account for over a year now, I signed up. So before Google Apps I was to cramming LoveCovers, BlueCastle blogging, Gallery, and all the email accounts into my server space, which is way less than 1 gig. I now am only cramming the websites onto my server, and each e-mail account has ~2gig of space.

Also, Ardell and I have been loosing our battles against comment spam so you should see a new addition to the comment process. A ‘captcha authorization’ picture. That just lets us know that your human, and not some spam spiderbot. In the near future I will be upgrading the blogging software because the latest version of LifeType has more tools for fighting spam.
